Wally Stine Owner and operator of UBuildIt-Leavenworth. After architectural training at the University of Washington, I ran my own residential design/construction company in western Washington in the 70s and 80s.

I left the construction field for a career in computer engineering but never took off my tool belt or lost interest in home construction. In 2000 I managed my own home project in Leavenworth, Washington while working full time in Seattle, 100 miles west of Leavenworth. There was no UBuildIt office servicing the North Central Washington area at that time. Even with my construction experience I soon learned that each region of the country has unique building requirements and I had to develop relationships with suppliers and subcontractors on my own.

When my family and I moved to Leavenworth 2 years ago, my goal was to open an UBuildIt office to service this area. I realized that if I had the opportunity to use the UBuildIt program during my home project, I would have built a bigger and better home on-time and on-budget.

I’m very happy to be back in a career that I never really left and to be helping families build or remodel the home of their dreams whether they are long time residents of Eastern Washington or new arrivals to some of the most beautiful country in the world.
